Become a more productive Pastor in 7 days with me. You know what it’s like to have whole days of wondering where the time went. I have had days where I show up at the church office in the morning, blink, and all of a sudden, BAM! It’s 5:13pm! Where did my day go? What in the WORLD have I been doing all day? When the youth ministry teens ask me what does a pastor do all day, what would I tell them on a day like that?
Let’s get real: there ARE days like this. That’s not for me anymore. I want to be like Jesus: “about my Father’s business.”
Jesus wants pastors to be productive!
Remember what Jesus said about being productive when he responded to his parent’s exasperation over searching Jerusalem for Him?
“Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be about my Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49).
Understand that the parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30 speak directly to the issue of being productive for the master.
There is one thing we all have in common, 24 hours in each day. Some people get a lot more done in their 24 hours than others.
Pastors have one of the most important jobs, and one of the hardest.
Wouldn’t you agree that we need to be some of the most productive people on the planet?
